  15. I have a simple question : If I have a LaTeX source containing
  16. several lines like \newfont{\tryFont}{cmbx10 scaled X}
  17. where X runs from 1230 to 1249, xdvik (1.8) generates via MakeTeXPK
  18. the following files :

  20.  cmbx10.369pk
  21.  cmbx10.371pk
  22.  cmbx10.373pk
  23.  cmbx10.375pk
  24.  
  25. If I remove all these files and change the source so X runs only 
  26. from 1230 to 1239, xdvik generates the files
  27.  
  28.  cmbx10.370pk
  29.  cmbx10.372pk
  30.  
  31. Now, if I xdvik the original .dvi file again, the only file being
  32. generated is cmbx10.375pk.
  33.  
  34. I can't understand that !  I would have expected :
  35.  
  36. - cmbx10.369pk to cmbx10.372pk resp. cmbx10.375pk being generated
  37.   in consecutive order, not only every second file. BTW, this is 
  38.   what xdvi version 17.1 did.
  39.   
  40. - the same files being generated for the same font definitions
  41.  
  42. - the same fonts being needed for the same .dvi file. But it doesn't
  43.   even stat() the files it had generated in the first run !
  44.  
  45. What's going on here ?
